4 Ways that you can find time to Crochet or knit

Sometimes when I scroll through Instagram and see all the fabulous makers makin' stuff, I am like "How do they find the time to make that?!"

Crocheting and Knitting require a lot of still time.

But I have learned that the secret to getting anything done is simply making up your mind that you are going to get such and such done.

Having a few tips also helps to get that Crochet WIP done also and below you find a few tips that I have learned along the way.

1.  Decide that you will devote xx amount of minutes to crocheting.  I can't stress enough the importance of simply deciding that you are going to do something.

It really became quite easy to find the time when I decided that I was going to crochet at such and such a time.

2.  Take Everywhere. I started bringing my crochet projects with me in the car and to work. I also started packing yarn bags for trips and visits to family members. During those family visit conversations, you can get quite a bit of crocheting done.

3.  Rest. Every Friday evening to Saturday evening, I rest from crocheting. I don't think about it either. I rest. I have found that having periods of rest is just as important as having a set time to crochet. Taking a rest is like a Creative Recharge!

4.  Skip the Log In. I also started using the time that I spent on social media to crochet. If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I am a fan of scrolling through photos. But I have learned that if you want to have more time to crochet, skip that log in. ...whether it's Instagram, Facebook or SnapChat.

So, those are four things that I have done to find the time to crochet.

And since making the decision to find the time to crochet, I have actually made three scarves and a pair of boot cuffs.

Deciding is a very powerful thing.

How do you make time to be crafty?

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. -Joshua 24:15
